Why VisionForce? Why now?

“The problems we have now in communities and societies are going to be resolved only when we are brought together by a common sense that each of us is a visionary. Each of us must come to the realization that we can function and live at the level of vision rather than following some great leader’s vision. Instead of looking for a great leader, we are in an era where each of us needs to find the great leader in ourselves.” - Werner Erhard

Manifesto (draft) | Revolution

  1. Real power lies within. It’s one thing to believe it, it’s another to live it. It’s time we all live it.
  2. ‘It’ is vision force. Not the web site, not the company. The idea. Vision force is an idea that represents every natural faculty of human consciousness. It is the power that lies within us, naturally.
  3. ‘Naturally’ means we were born with it, and we don’t need to look outside of ourselves for it. It’s in you. It’s in me. It’s in all of us. It’s time we stop looking outside ourselves for the power.
  4. Power is the ability to cause change. When it’s time to cause change, most of us look to forces outside of ourselves. Political force. Military force. As if those means of power can ever produce lasting change.
  5. You can’t force a mind. Not yours. Not mine. Not theirs. It’s time for a new idea about causing change.
  6. Vision force is that new idea. Vision force is our natural power to guide ourselves by our own vision. A vision that calls us to rise above fear. A vision that calls our adversaries to rise with us.
  7. To live life by such a vision is to be a visionary. Not a dreamer. Not an idealist. Not a futurist. A visionary. It’s time for a new idea about what it means to be a visionary. It’s time for a new idea about what it means to be a human being.
  8. Human beings are visionaries by nature.
  9. That we do not act like visionaries, says nothing about our innate individual capacity to do so. In fact, it says more about the inner and outer environments that condition us.
  10. We are conditioned from birth to fit in, to follow and obey. At home, at school, at church, at work and at play. There’s always someone with power who wants us to conform to their values, their system, their code. They educate us with their ideas, they reward us when we obey, they punish us when we don’t. Whether we conform or rebel, the outcome’s the same. We start focusing externally. We look outward for approval, for rewards, for safety and more.
  11. And gone is our vision. We’re disconnected from ourselves. We’re lost and we’re scared. But we hide it with pretense. We pretend we know where we are and where we’re going. We pretend to be confident.
  12. We cling to our beliefs with all of our might, like the blind man who holds onto the leash of the only dog he knows. We need to believe we’re right, only because we have lost our site. We’ve lost our vision. It’s time we change all that.
  13. It would be time to take the power back. Only we never lost it in the first place. It’s always been here.
  14. But we don’t know what it means to live from our power. It’s the first thing we compromised every time we came up against authority or majority. Whether we rebelled or conformed, we learned to live in reaction to outside forces. We compromised our power.
  15. Indeed, we—conscious creators—have become creatures of compromise. We compromise our power and our inner most values for approval and comfort.
  16. And with every little “innocent” compromise, our spirit dies. Little by little.
  17. It’s time we live not in reaction to external forces, but aligned with our vision force. With our own honest values. From our own natural vision.
  18. It’s time we turn inward once again.
  19. It’s time to reawaken and honor the heroic human spirit.
  20. It’s time we rise to the occasion. It’s time for a revolution of vision by visionaries. (and it has already begun)
