Our story starts with a young teenage rebel, who couldn't understand why the adults in the world all around him acted as they did.  The arguing, fighting, childish bickering and positioning, the struggles for popularity and power - it seemed no different than what was happening in the halls of his high school.

Religious authorities, philosophers, politicians, parents, teachers - so many talked a good talk, but who was walking the walk?  Every side was "good fighting evil."  The net result was a vicious, senseless, irrational downward spiral of death and destruction.

Everyone seemed to worship the few great souls throughout history who had operated at a higher level, but then acted completely differently.  People like Gandhi, Mother Theresa, the Buddha, Jesus, Confucius, were held to be "great," but it was as if everyone accepted that 99.9% of the world would forever be helpless, hapless, irrational, self-destructive sinners.  As if the best we could hope for was to be forgiven, loved, saved, self-helped, accepted or become elected, promoted or deemed "successful."

Michael Skye, the young rebel in our story, ventured forth in this seemingly irrational world in search of more.  He came across several thought leaders who began to pave a path to greatness in his mind.  People such as Stephen Covey, Ayn Rand, Gandhi, Dr. Eli Goldratt and many others offered practical strategies and visions for any human being to rise beyond the norm, beyond being "good," "responsible," or "successful" in the world's eyes... to higher levels of human greatness. 

Could it be that all human beings could rise to true human greatness?  The increasing irrationality, war, retaliation, terrorism, law suits, creation of laws, growth of control by government, bitter divorces, drug abuse, obesity, addiction, depression, etc. seemed to answer, "No." 

Yet there were individuals and organizations, who, by their example, were answering, "Yes!"

Michael ventured far and wide in the world of ideas to see what technologies there were for personal human advancement and conscious evolution.  He quickly found that many organizations with a devout and sometimes even cult-like following had processes that were quite powerful.  The power in the processes as well as the judgments of outsiders seemed to make the users of those processes even more adamant and righteous in their choices, convictions and loyalties.  Michael noticed that for the most part, such processes were a benefit for the individual.  It was the explanations and beliefs behind those processes that trapped many of those individuals into being self-righteous true believers or blind followers.  It was the beliefs that took the power away from the person.  Yet, to the believer, the beliefs added a sense of security, power and protection from the judgments of others.

So Michael began to integrate aspects of the different processes he found, without accepting the explanations/beliefs promoted by the people promoting the processes.  The result has been the development of a body of work that anyone can use to higher levels of personal greatness without entering into the realm of beliefs, judgments and opinions.  In fact, what makes VisionForce human development technology so powerful is its effectiveness in calling an individual and those around her to rise above their judgments and beliefs - to see the greatness in herself and others.

The work embodied by VisionForce comprises powerful, logical, practical, simple methods for human greatness.  Radically different from the world of self-improvement, motivation or personal success, VisionForce is an inner revolution.  

While it has become cliche that to change the world, one must first change oneself, in reality we do not act as if this is true.  We act as if it is the other side that must change.  

We are all human beings, and we are all facing a problem significantly greater than our crises with aids, poverty, healthcare, environment, etc.  The greatest problem facing us all is this seemingly invisible barrier to human greatness, this assumption that it is not truly possible and the conviction that it is the other side that needs to change.

Considering the proliferation of war, terrorism, nuclear weapons, biological weapons, chemical weapons, not to mention poverty, hunger, aids, healthcare and environmental crises, our very survival hangs in the balance.

Yet this is not just a fight for survival.  This is a call to greatness.  Imagine a world of human beings who each get their greatness, and see it in every man, woman and child in this world.  Imagine a world where each human being naturally chooses to "be the one" for herself and the world around her.  Imagine!

We have the power to fly beyond the moon, to speak to the other side of the world, to destroy our entire planet, to see far away planets, to build skyscrapers, to explore the depths of the ocean, to create artistic masterpieces, to solve nearly any problem in the physical world.  We have created technological tools and solutions to achieve all those feats.  

And, now we must focus our efforts, also on the domain of the soft sciences.  Politics, human development, psychology, child raising, ethics, conflict resolution, etc.  We can solve the greatest problem the world has ever known - we can rise to true greatness, each of us.  And, then!  And then, imagine our power to resolve the other problems we face as people - poverty, hunger, environment, etc.!

In the 1960s most of the world thought it impossible to put a man on the moon.  Yet, we put our minds to it and achieved this seemingly impossible goal within a decade!

In order to succeed, consider that we do not need to convince the world that this is our problem, we do not need agreement, we do not need the other side to change.  We can be the change, here and now.  We can call ourselves and others to greatness, simply in our speaking, our actions, our being.

At the Vision Force Academy, this is our challenge, this is our opportunity, this is our honor, this is our life.  We do not claim to have "the solution."  We do not want followers.  We do not seek believers.  We do have powerful tools that anyone can use to rise to higher levels of human greatness, and to call forth the greatness in those around you.  We seek only heroes.  And that is a choice.

To be "the one," or to be a cause of the very problems you complain about?  THAT is the question.
